AROUND 70 people from Lymm visited its twin-town in France to celebrate 50 years of partnership.
During the visit, a plaque commemorating the event was unveiled in “Square de Lymm” and an art exhibition was held which included the work of 16 Lymm artists.

June 2010
In 2010 we were welcomed at the Hotel de Ville. On the trip we were taken to the vineyeards of Montlouis, where we tasted the local Touraine wine. Afterwards we had lunch in restaurant situated in a natural cave and finally a train ride round a "parc animalier". The music at the reception was provided by "Les Baladins de L'Arc en Ciel".

May/June 2019
AROUND 50 people from Meung-sur-Loire came to Lymm this year. Whilst they were here they were treated to an evening at Arley Hall, a trip to Ironbridge and a meal at the Hallmark Hotel in Grappenhall. The pictures are mainly of these events but they do show a flavour of the other things our visitors did whilst they were here.

Peter Birchall and Michel Bret cutting the cake to celebrate the 50th year of the Twin Town Society. In the pictures of the reception dinner you will see Marie-Christine Gailly and Derek Paton-Williams. Derek and Marie-Christine are founder members of the Society.

The welcome meeting was at Walton Hall. the trip was to Blackpool and included, The Winter Gardens, Lunch at Harry ramsden's, Blackpool Tower and a visit to a factory to see Blackpool Rock being made. The final reception was at Statham Lodge in Lymm.
